In 2019, Marriott International made a pledge not to rent rooms to ICE to house detainees. Since 2023, they have broken that promise. In response, the Marriott ICE Melt Coalition is working to bring attention to the duplicity of Marriott’s actions.

Join us at Aloft (a Marriott-owned hotel at 1900 E Speedway; corner of Speedway and Campbell) on Friday September 12 from 6 to 7 pm, to demand that Marriott renew their promise.

This will be a nonviolent, lawful protest, with all protesters asked to stand on the sidewalks on Speedway and Campbell. The back side of Aloft will be “projection-bombed” with an ICE-critical video, and we’ll debut the Democracy Town Criers initiative at this event too! Will you join us?

Bring signs specifically mentioning ICE, Marriott, broken promises, saying “no” to collaboration with fascism, and similar messages to help us meet this campaign’s goal of using targeted, creative, and lawfully-disruptive tactics to put economic pressure on Marriott, leveraging them into making a public statement renewing their promise.
