About Arizona Action Network

Arizona Action Network (AZACT) is a loose coalition of grassroots organizers, activists, and concerned citizens working together to resist the authoritarian agenda of the Trump administration through innovative technology and creative non-violent initiatives.

Our Background

In the early days of Trump 2.0, it became clear to many that our worst fears about the authoritarian ambitions of the Trump administration and Project 2025 had very much become reality. Without clear leadership, ordinary citizens in Arizona and across the nation kicked into high gear, organizing some of the largest protests in history without any formal budget, roles, or operating structures.

Since that time, many grassroots organizations have formed in an attempt to better combine and direct resistance actions, and members of our coalition have organized major actions under many different “organization” names and branding; but we have found through experience that the natural structure of grassroots activism is not an organization, but a network. We have increasingly seen that actions are best taken by small, fluid, project-focused teams of individuals with shared passions and complementary skill sets, rather than organizational structures placing an emphasis on a particular ideological balance or branding.

One of those projects is AZACT itself. Born from the recognition that few resistance groups are equipped to utilize the technological resources and modern creative strategies that we use every day in our own careers, AZACT exists primarily to foster communication, action, and logistical coordination among grassroots networks via modern technological and creative strategies.
